How are candidates assessed
Candidates are assessed based on the following five factors: education and training, skilled work experience, language ability, age, and connection(s) to the Saskatchewan labour market and adaptability.
Saskatchewan Express Entry
Candidates from the federal Express Entry pool who are skilled and have work experience in an occupation that is not listed on the SINP Excluded Occupation List can submit an Expression of Interest to be considered for the stream.
Saskatchewan Employment Offer
Candidates who have an offer of employment from a Saskatchewan employer and who score high enough on the SINP Points Assessment Grid may submit an application to this stream.
Saskatchewan Occupation In-Demand
Candidates who have experience in one of Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupations and secure a high enough score on the SINP Points Assessment Grid can submit an Expression of Interest to be considered for the stream.
Saskatchewan experience
Saskatchewan Experience includes five immigration streams which target foreign nationals who have already gained work experience from a Saskatchewan employer and who have a job offer for permanent employment in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Existing Work Permit
This program targets candidates who have a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer and who have already been employed with the same employer for six months before applying.
Saskatchewan Health Professionals
This program targets doctors, nurses, and other health professionals who are already working in Saskatchewan and have an offer to continue working in their healthcare profession.
Saskatchewan Hospitality Sector Project
This program targets candidates who are already working in Saskatchewan in the hospitality sector and have an offer of full-time employment to continue this work.
Saskatchewan Long-Haul Truck Driver Project
This program targets candidates who have a job offer from a Saskatchewan trucking company and who are currently working for the same Saskatchewan employer for the six months prior to application.
Saskatchewan Students
This program targets international students who have recently graduated from a Canadian educational institution and have at least 6 months of work experience in Saskatchewan.
Entrepreneur and farm
Saskatchewan Entrepreneur and Farm consists of two immigration streams which target foreign nationals who plan to invest and start a business or purchase and operate a farm in Saskatchewan.
Farm Owner and Operator Category
This stream targets foreign nationals with demonstrated experience in farming and who have sufficient capital to invest in a farming operation and plan to buy and run a farm in Saskatchewan.
