Study Direct Stream
The Study Direct Stream (SDS) is a program created by the Canadian government to allow qualified international students to apply for and receive a study permit more quickly. It is designed to make the process of obtaining a study permit easier and faster for students from certain countries.

You can only get the study permit through the SDS program If you are from the following countries
India
Pakistan
China
Colombia
Costa Rica
Morocco
Peru
Philippines
Senegal
Brazil
Antigua and Barbuda
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Trinidad and Tobago
Vietnam
Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
Following are the specific requirements you should meet in order to be eligible for the Study direct stream (SDS).
- Letter of Acceptance from a Canadian Designated Learning Institution
- Proof of obtaining a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of $10,000
- Proof that tuition fees for the first year of study are paid
- Upfront medical exam document.
Proof of language test results completed within two years of SDS application being received showing an IELTS score of 6 in English or NCLC(Niveaux de compétence Linguistique Canadiens) of 7 for french.
